Creating a Complete Visual Library for a Multi-Day National Conference
The Independent Show 2026 · NCTC + ACA Connects · Walt Disney World
The Independent Show brought together leaders from the broadband, technology and communications industries for a multi-day national conference at Walt Disney World.
Millard Creative Studio was commissioned to create a comprehensive image library across keynote presentations, education, sponsors, networking and destination experiences—while also delivering edited imagery during the event for immediate marketing use.

The challenge
A conference of this scale has dozens of visual stories unfolding at once. The photography needed to capture the authority of the main stage, the value of sponsor participation, the energy of attendee connection and the destination experiences surrounding the conference.
The assignment also involved multiple locations, a changing production schedule, Disney-specific photography requirements and an approval process for select images before publication.
The approach
I approached the conference as a collection of distinct visual stories rather than photographing every environment the same way.
Keynotes needed scale and authority. Sponsor spaces needed clear branding and genuine interaction. Attendee coverage needed energy and connection. Destination experiences needed to feel specific to the event without overwhelming the organization’s larger identity.
Each area required a different photographic response, but the completed gallery still needed to feel like one cohesive body of work.
Event photography does not operate in isolation. Throughout the conference, I worked alongside event leadership, the creative team, videographers, venue professionals and other production partners.
That required understanding priorities before the event, remaining responsive as schedules changed and creating photographs without interrupting the attendee experience or the larger production.

Images created for immediate use
Edited photographs were needed while the conference was still underway. Images moved from camera to selection, editing, approval and delivery multiple times throughout the event, giving the marketing team access to fresh content without waiting for the complete gallery.
This workflow required anticipating which images would be most useful, maintaining consistency under pressure and delivering without losing sight of the complete event story.
The result
More than 1,600 edited photographs were delivered across speakers, education, sponsors, networking, entertainment and attendee experience.
The final gallery gave NCTC a flexible image library for social media, PR, sponsor recognition, presentations, internal communications, future event promotion and ongoing website content.
The result was more than a record of what happened. It was a complete visual account of the organization, its community and the experience it created.
What I brought to the production
My role extended beyond operating a camera. I translated a complex schedule into visual priorities, worked calmly within a high-pressure production environment, collaborated with multiple creative partners and anticipated images the marketing team would need throughout the event.
This combination of photography, preparation and calm leadership is what I bring to multi-day conferences, leadership summits and corporate brand experiences.
