Complete the contact form with your preferred date, location, photography needs and any details you already know. For an event, it is helpful to include the schedule, anticipated coverage hours, venue and estimated guest count. For a brand or portrait session, share what you hope to create and how you plan to use the images.
Once your inquiry is received, I’ll review the details, confirm availability and recommend the best next step.
-
It is best to reach out as soon as your date and general plans are known. Corporate events, conferences and larger assignments are often booked several months in advance, particularly during San Diego’s busiest event seasons.
Brand, headshot and portrait sessions generally have more scheduling flexibility, but contacting me at least four to six weeks in advance provides more options for planning, locations and creative preparation. Last-minute inquiries are always welcome when availability allows.
-
Yes. Millard Creative Studio is available for photography assignments throughout Southern California and for select events and projects across the United States.
Travel proposals may include transportation, accommodations, travel time and other location-specific expenses. Share your destination and schedule through the contact form, and I’ll create a proposal based on the needs of your project.
-
You’ll receive a personal response confirming availability and requesting any additional information needed to understand your project.
Depending on the assignment, the next step may include a brief consultation, a few follow-up questions or a customized proposal outlining recommended coverage, services, optional add-ons and pricing. Once everything feels aligned, you’ll receive the agreement and payment details needed to reserve your date.
-
Most photography dates are officially reserved once the signed agreement and required retainer have been received. Event and custom photography assignments generally require a 50% retainer, with the remaining balance due according to the schedule outlined in your proposal and agreement.
Submitting an inquiry or discussing availability does not temporarily hold a date unless otherwise stated. All reservation requirements will be clearly explained before you book.
-
Absolutely. Corporate events and business photography assignments rarely follow a one-size-fits-all format.
Your proposal can be customized around your event schedule, marketing goals, desired image usage, turnaround requirements and production needs. Options may include multiple photographers, headshots, videography, content creation, expedited highlights, multi-day coverage and travel.
-
Yes. Millard Creative Studio works with an experienced team of associate photographers, second photographers, videographers and content creators.
Additional team members can be recommended for large conferences, simultaneous programming, multi-room events, brand productions and assignments requiring both photography and video. Your proposal will identify the team structure needed to cover the project thoroughly and efficiently.
-
Yes. Millard Creative Studio carries business liability insurance, and a Certificate of Insurance can be provided when required by a venue, company or event partner.
Please share any venue-specific insurance requirements or certificate wording as early as possible so the appropriate documentation can be prepared before the assignment.
